Prince Goes Crazy At The Super Bowl
I hope you all saw Prince's halftime show at the Super Bowl. It is one of the best of an admittedly lame lot. Great song selection, great playing, and a great visual show.
The songs: Let's Go Crazy, Proud Mary, All Along the Watchtower (more Hendrix than Dylan), Best of You, and Purple Rain. I may have forgotten one or two. Prince was front and center, with dancers more visible than the rest of the band. For the last song, he played inside a fabric tube supported by fans, so he was seen only in silhouette.
Prince is one the greatest American Rockers, but he has not received the recognition he deserves. For a guy who has so many great songs to do so many other peoples songs (especially a Foo Fighters song) shows a lot of confidence and a lot of humility.
Maybe this performance will wake up the bud lite crowd.
